Non-alcoholic fatty liver in patients with medsci.
Non-alcoholic fatty liver medsci.
Recently, JAHA, an authoritative journal in the field of cardiovascular disease, published a research article designed to evaluate the heart shape and function of obese patients undergoing bariatric surgery and liver biopsy.
Researchers evaluated 171 consecutive patients with no definite heart disease (median age 42 years [interquartile range 37-48]) with echocardiography, and the median body mass index was 43.
NASH patients showed left ventricular centripetal remodeling and high circulatory pressure, including left ventricular end-diastolic diameter index [cm/m2]: 1.
It can be seen that in extremely obese patients, NASH is associated with left ventricular centripetal remodeling and high circulatory pressure.
