JAMA Network Open: Is there a correlation between anti-tumor necrosis factor (TNF) therapy and all-cause mortality in patients with inflammatory bowel disease?

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is usually treated with corticosteroids and anti-tumor necrosis factor (TNF) drugs.

Previous studies have shown that compared with long-term use of corticosteroids, anti-tumor necrosis factor therapy can reduce all-cause mortality in patients with IBD.

This cohort study used a mature veterans health management cohort.

The primary end point of management is the all-cause mortality rate defined by the Veterans’ Health Management important status document.
