Sinochem News News on August 24th, six Japanese petrochemical producers, including Idemitsu Kosan, decided to start a Power to Chemicals (P2C) demonstration project in September in response to Japan’s The government's call to promote the creation of a carbon recycling society model

Except for Idemitsu Kosan, the other five companies are Toshiba Energy Systems and Solutions Company, Toyo Engineering Company, Toshiba Company, Japan CCS Company and All Nippon Airways
The six companies stated in a joint statement: “The P2C plant in this study will use artificial photosynthesis technology to convert the carbon dioxide separated and collected from exhaust gas resources into carbon monoxide.
These carbon monoxide will use the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis process and The hydrogen obtained from renewable energy is reacted, and then the existing petroleum refining process is used to produce aviation fuel, light oil and other liquid fuels
