J Clin Oncol: Pembrolizumab combined with T-VEC oncolytic virus cannot achieve better efficacy in the treatment of advanced melanoma

▎Clinical problems:

A previous phase Ib study showed that the combination of T-VEC oncolytic virus and pembrolizumab in patients with advanced melanoma showed a better safety profile and an impressive complete response rate (CRR)

An international randomized, double-blind, multicenter study from J Clin Oncol showed that T-VEC-pembrolizumab did not significantly improve progression-free survival (PFS) compared with placebo-pembrolizumab.
