    The scope of supply of JDR cables includes five thermoplastic umbilicals, as well as hardware
    to connect the new production platform to the subsea valve unit.

    The umbilical cables, which are approximately 100 to 465 meters long, will provide hydraulic and electrical control
    for subsea valve installations.

    Chris Green, JDR Cable Umbilical Sales Manager, said: "This contract is a testament to our partnership
    with McDermott.
    This is the fifth contract awarded for the Safaniya project and truly demonstrates the quality and reliability
    of our products.
    In addition, speed of delivery was a key factor in
    this victory.
    Our experienced technicians ensure that every umbilical cable is delivered
    safely and on budget.

    The umbilical cable will be manufactured at JDR Cable's state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Littleport, UK, and delivery
    is expected in the fourth quarter of 2018.

    a larger project for Saudi Aramco.
    The mega project will replace Safaniya's aging equipment with electrified platforms to improve efficiency and production
