Compensated liver cirrhosis is characterized by portal hypertension and liver failure.

Researchers collected randomized controlled trials on long-term use of albumin in patients with liver cirrhosis and liver ascites in various databases.

A total of five randomized controlled trials that met the selection criteria were included in the meta-analysis, involving a total of 716 patients.
