Background and objectives: Many recently published studies have assessed the chemical prevention effects of aspirin on stomach cancer, so the purpose of this study is to assess the effects of aspirin on the onset and mortality of stomach cancermethod: Researchers searched the PUBMED and Cochrane databases and searched for qualified studies published up to December 2018The combined risk ratio of gastric cancer occurrence and death between aspirin users and non-users was determined using fixed and random effect modelsThe frequency of aspirin use, the time and location of aspirin use and geographical location were also evaluatedresults: A total of 33 studies were included in the meta-analysis, with a total of 192,7971 patientsIn fixed-effect and random effect models, the aggregate risk ratio of gastric cancer risk was 0.890 (95% confidence interval, 0.871-0.909) and 0.826 (0.740-0.922), respectivelyIn Asia and North America, weekly or daily use of aspirin has the greatest prevention benefitsIn fixed-effect and random effect models, the combined risk ratio of gastric cancer death was 0.798 (0.749-0.850) and 0.894 (0.780-1.024), respectivelySignificant heterogeneousness was observed in studies on the incidence of gastric cancer, but no similarity was observed in the death of stomach cancerconclusion that the use of aspirin can reduce the risk of stomach cancer and death;
