Gastric cancer (GC) is the second most common malignant tumor among Chinese men and remains one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths in developing countries
    .

Although in recent years, the morbidity and mortality of gastric cancer patients have shown a downward trend, and the early diagnosis rate of gastric cancer is low, the 5-year survival rate is still less than 20%, and the median survival rate is about 10 months

Gastric cancer (GC) is the second most common malignant tumor among Chinese men and remains one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths in developing countries

Researchers first performed TMSB10 specific staining in tissue samples of gastric cancer patients, compared the differences in TMSB10 expression in tissues of GC patients and non-GC patients, and then performed statistical analysis on clinical data and demographic data of all subjects.
In order to find out the risk factors related to TMSB10 expression, in order to explore the specific signaling pathways that affect the difference in TMSB10 expression, the researchers also used TMSB10 knockdown/overexpression in GC cells in vitro and in vitro to regulate TMSB10 in regulating tumor growth, invasion and angiogenesis.
The role and potential mechanism in the evaluation
    .

The results of the study found that significant expression of TMSB10 protein was observed in GC cells and tissues, which is related to the advanced tumor stage and lymph node (LN) metastasis of GC patients
    .

In addition, prognostic analysis showed that the survival time of GC patients with high TMSB10 expression was significantly shortened, and it is an important factor in predicting the overall poor survival rate of GC patients

This study confirms that TMSB10 is expected to be a potential prognostic predictive biomarker and potential therapeutic target for the diagnosis of GC, which will promote the development of new therapeutic strategies for GC
