Reaction principle: Terephthalic acid ( PTA ) and adipic acid ( AA ) are esterified with 1,4- butanediol ( BDO ) at high temperature in the esterification kettle to produce butylene terephthalate ( BHBT ), 1,4- butanediol adipate ( BHBA );

Under the action of high temperature esterification, BHBT and BHBA are polymerized to form polybutylene terephthalate ( PBT ) and poly -1,4- butane adipate ( PBA ), and finally form polybutylene terephthalate ( PBT ) through polycondensation.
