According to a report on the website of Vietnam's "People's Daily" on July 1, the People's Committee of Jihai County, Haiphong City announced that Fulong Township and Zhenzhu Township in the county are African swine fever epidemic areas
.
Since the outbreak of African swine fever on June 24, 5 surrounding towns have been threatened by the epidemic
.
Jihai County has asked farmers to destroy all the pigs that were affected by the epidemic, died, and tested positive, and carried out disinfection of the breeding sites once a day
.
Checkpoints shall be set up on the traffic arteries entering and exiting the epidemic area to conduct 24-hour on-duty inspections, and transportation of live pigs and their products is strictly prohibited
