It is reported that the first joint thermal and power dispatching test of the national science and technology support project "Thermopower Joint Optimization Planning and Operation Control Technology for Wind Power Consumption" undertaken by State Grid Jilin Electric Power Co.

in Jilin Power Grid recently.
The experiment will obtain first-hand data on the heat transfer and energy storage characteristics related to the heating pipe network, which will be used to tap the energy storage potential of the urban heating network, and provide technical support
for the implementation of joint heat and power dispatch and the expansion of the space for wind power grid integration and consumption during the northern winter heating period.
"Thermal Power Joint Optimization Planning and Operation Control Technology for Wind Power Consumption" is the first technology research and development
for joint optimal dispatch of heat and power systems in China.
Aiming at the problem of wind power consumption in the winter heating period in northern China, the project explores the use of energy storage characteristics of urban heating pipe network, expands the peak shaving space of the winter power grid through the implementation of joint heat and power dispatching, and creates better conditions
for wind power integration.
The project focuses on the research on the planning principles of urban heating system taking into account wind power consumption and the joint optimization operation control technology of heat and power to improve the utilization rate of wind power, and the development of the joint optimization planning simulation software and the joint optimization operation control
system of heat and power for wind power consumption.
The joint heat and power dispatch test was implemented by the State Grid Jilin Electric Power Organization, and the thermal power plants and wind farms belonging to many power generation groups such as Datang, Huaneng and CGNPC, as well as heating enterprises in Changchun area, participated in the 15-day joint commissioning test
.
Based on the theoretical results obtained in the early stage, the experimental will verify the operating environment of the theoretical models such as heat network, heat load and joint optimization scheduling of heat and electricity, obtain relevant data, test the heat transfer characteristics of urban central heating pipe network, and explore the thermal inertia of the heating network, so as to provide important support
for the next revision and improvement of the theoretical model and promote project research and development.
