    method: The effects of chronic non-motor stN-DBS treatment in 19 patients with resoccurring obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) were analyzed by using forward-looking, observational, single-center, open cohort study method.
    the severity of obsessive-compulsive disorder was assessed using the Yale and Brown obsessive-compulsive scales (YBOCS).
    YBOCS scores compared with baselines for 6, 12, and 24 months after surgery.
    respondents were determined by the YBOCS score improvement of 35%.
    Global Assessment Function (GAF) scale is used to assess the impact of improvements.
    results: 24 months of follow-up, YBOCS score increased from 33.3±3.5 to 15.8±9.1, an increase of 53.4% (95% CI 11.2-20.4; p.lt;0.0001).
    14 of the 19 patients were considered effective, 5 of the 19 cases improved by more than 75% and 10 cases by more than 50%.
    GAF rating increased from 34.1±3.9 to 66.4±18.8 (95% CI 56.7-76.1; p-0.0003), an increase of 92%.
    most common adverse events include transient anxiety and mild anxiety.
    : Non-motor STN chronic DBS is an effective and relatively safe method for treating severe obsessive compulsive disorder, which is resistant to conventional treatment.
