Parsonage-Turner syndrome (PTS), also known as neuralgic amyotrophy, is an acute idiopathic brachial neuritis typically characterized by acute onset of severe pain followed by weakness and wasting of the upper extremities

Clinical types of COVID-19 vaccines were collected and analyzed: different types of vaccinations, symptomatic manifestations of vaccination, timing of vaccination, clinical symptoms, minimal motor scores, electrophysiological diagnosis, brachial plexus MRI, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) ) analysis

Among the COVID-19 patients, 12 patients (7 males and 5 females) were identified

We treated all but three patients with oral or intravenous corticosteroids: two patients improved rapidly (patients 5 and 7) and one patient refused treatment (patient 4)

    patient characteristics

Case series reports and vaccinations such as COVID-19, smallpox, human papillomavirus, influenza and more recently the COVID-19 vaccine are among the known potential vaccinations

There were seven reports of 10 PTS vaccinations following the COVID-19 vaccination

Confirming findings from previous case reports, our observations suggest that the COVID-19 vaccine may be associated with ipsilaterally occurring PTS, possibly with reactive lymphadenopathy
    .
Further research is needed to assess the causality and significance of the ipsilateral association
