Taihan Electric Wire Co.
, a leading South Korean manufacturer of industrial cables, has received an order
for high-voltage cables from Energinet, the Danish state-owned power transmission system operator.
Under the contract, Korea Cable will supply 145-170 kV underground cables and related accessories to build the power network
in Denmark.
The announcement did not disclose the value of
the deal.
It is reported that this is the first order of Korean cable in Denmark, after the company also won bids for ultra-high voltage cable orders
in the Netherlands, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
Daehan Cable established its European operations in 2017, and the signing of this contract will help expand the company's presence
in Europe.
In 2019, Korea Cable entered into a multimillion-dollar deal with Dutch power transmission company Tente for a 380 kV UHV power cable
.
The first batch of products was delivered in January, and the company plans to complete all product deliveries and installations
by October.
