    Gabon's Ministry of Digital Economy has signed a contract
    with Korea Telecom to deploy two new fiber-optic networks in the north of the country.

    As part of the fourth phase of the China-Africa Backbone (CAB) project and the fourth phase of the National Backbone Network (BNG) program, the 528-kilometer-long fibre network project will include two fibre routes
    .

    One of them is a 411-kilometer fibre network connecting Booue, Eboro (in the border with Cameroon) and Meyo Kye (Equatorial Guinea), passing through Koumameyong, Lalara, Mitzic, Oyem and Bitam
    .

    The other is a branch of construction from the Oyan region connecting to Bifoun and Lamberene, with a total length of 117 km
    .

    According to the Gabonese Ministry of Digital Economy, this is the fourth phase of the China-Africa backbone network project and the fourth phase
    of the Gabonese national backbone network.
    The construction of this project is very critical
    to the construction of optical fiber networks covering major cities and regions across the country.
