    The cumulative import volume in the first two months was 154 tons, compared with 458 tons in the same period last year.

    The average import volume in February 2016-2021 was 192 tons.
     
    The main suppliers of frozen octopus are Mauritania, China, the Philippines and Venezuela, of which 51% of frozen octopus, about 79 tons from Mauritania, 23% (about 35 tons) from China, and 16% (about 25 tons) from Indonesia, 8% (approximately 13 tons) are from the Philippines, and 1% (approximately 2 tons) are from Venezuela.
     
    The price of frozen octopus in Mauritania is the highest at US$8.
    05 per kilogram; the price of frozen octopus in the Philippines is US$5.
    92 per kilogram; the price of frozen octopus in China is US$6.
