Application : Non-ionic amphiphilic excipients with high HLB value

As a bioavailability promoter and solubilizer in oral liquid and solid prescriptions of poorly soluble drugs;

As a penetration enhancer in topical administration;

Used as a surfactant in microemulsion

Appearance : oily liquid

Solubility at 20°C (European Pharmacopoeia third edition):

Easily soluble in 96% alcohol

Easily soluble in chloroform and dichloromethane

Soluble in water

Insoluble in mineral oil

Toxicology : Oral acute toxicity (100%) (rat/LD ₅₀ =22g/kg): non-toxic

Basic skin irritation (100%): very well tolerated

Eye irritation (100%): Slight irritation

Acute skin toxicity (100%): Very well tolerated

Bacterial reverse mutation test (Ames test): no mutagenic substances
