LANXESS completes the sale of organic leather chemicals business

Sinochem News News on June 1, German specialty chemicals company LANXESS announced that it has completed the sale of its organic leather chemicals business to TFL Ledertechnik GmbH.

TFL is a global supplier of leather chemicals and a portfolio company of the US investment company Black Diamond Capital Management.

The purchase price includes a fixed portion of 80 million euros.

After the sale, all businesses of the organic leather chemicals business line with approximately 420 employees have been transferred to TFL.

The combined TFL and LANXESS leather business will employ approximately 1,200 employees worldwide, with an estimated turnover of approximately 450 million euros.
