    Sinochem News on September 12th, LANXESS announced that it has jointly developed a battery module housing for electric vehicles with INFAC, a South Korean auto parts professional company


    According to reports, the battery module housing adopts Lanxess's Durerton BKV30FN04, which can meet the stringent mechanical and chemical performance requirements of the latest components of electric vehicles


    Milan Vignjevic, head of the Asia-Pacific region of LANXESS' High Performance Materials business unit, said that the battery module housing, shock absorption and thermal management are essential to protect the battery from external shocks


    According to reports, LANXESS’ engineering plastics can be applied to various battery components, including battery covers, high-voltage connectors, cable supports and battery cooling system pipes, as well as hydrogen fuel cell automotive parts (such as hydrogen storage tank liners)


    Sanghun Han, head of the South Korean region of LANXESS’ High Performance Materials Business Unit, said: “LANXESS has worked closely with leading global automotive OEMs, including Korean companies
