According to Tang Lin, general manager of PetroChina Jidong Oilfield Company, Jidong Oilfield is located in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei integrated and coordinated development zone, close to the main natural gas consumption markets such as Beijing and Tianjin.

The gas storage will plan to build 18 gas storages in 4 gas storage groups, with a total designed working gas volume of 10.
