LS Cable & System, the cable manufacturing arm of LS Group, has been consolidating its leadership in the floating solar farm market by developing custom cables and signing large-scale supply contracts
, the company said on Sunday.

Earlier this month, the cable manufacturer signed an agreement
to supply power cables for a floating solar power plant in Goheung Bay, Jeollanam-do.
The deal covers the full set of cables
needed to build the PV plant and connect the plant to the substation.

LS Cable & System uses its expertise in submarine cables to develop cables for floating solar farms, designing them to be impermeable, flame retardant, salt resistant and flexible
    .
The company also noted that the developed cable emits zero
    pollutants into the water.

The company has been following the solar market since 2020, when it developed cables
    dedicated to solar panels.
These cables have obtained Rheinland certification
    .

In addition to cables, LS subsidiaries have strengthened their presence
in the solar panel wire market.
In 2014, the company developed the world's first high-power multi-wire that maximizes power output and doesn't block sunlight
    like traditionally used stripwires.
This product is being supplied to major solar panel manufacturers
    at home and abroad.
