South Korean cable giant LS Cable has announced that it has signed an agreement with Danish state-owned power company Orsted to supply high-voltage cables
to the company in 2021.
LS Cable said in a statement that about 350km of onshore high-voltage cable will be used for power plants on the Yorkshire coast of the United Kingdom and will begin operations
in 2022.
"This contract makes sense because it continues to supply cables
for renewable energy projects in Europe.
We want to expand project opportunities in Europe, North America and Asia," LS Cable CEO Myung Roe-hyun said
in the statement.
LS Cable says these high-voltage cables are capable of powering
more than 1.
3 million homes.
