The Sino-Russian Eastern Route (Yongqing-Shanghai) natural gas pipeline Yangtze River shield crossing project was formally excavated in Nantong, Jiangsu Province a few days ago.
Multiple parameters such as shield excavation distance, buried depth, and water pressure challenge the world's most in the oil and gas field.
The project was undertaken by the China Railway Tunnel Bureau Group and is a key control project for the southern section of the China-Russia Eastern Route.
The crossing point is located at the estuary of the Yangtze River, passing through structures such as the Yangtze River's first-class waterway, levees, and wharves.
At the same time, this area is a protection zone for the Yangtze River's aquatic germplasm resources, which requires high construction techniques and methods.
