There are many types of mechanical aeration systems, which are divided into vertical axis (longitudinal axis) mechanical aerators and horizontal axis (horizontal axis) mechanical aerators according to the installation direction of the drive shaft

1 Vertical axis mechanical aerator
Vertical shaft type mechanical aerator, also known as vertical shaft impeller aerator or surface aeration impeller, is widely used in our country
.
The working principle of the vertical axis aerator is as follows
Common vertical shaft impeller aerators are pump type, inverted umbrella type, flat type and K type
.
The pump-type impeller aerator is composed of blades, upper plate, upper pressure cover, lower pressure cover, guide cone, air inlet, water inlet, etc.
The oxygenation capacity and oxygenation power efficiency of the pump-type impeller aerator are both Better, as shown in Figure 11-14
.

The inverted umbrella impeller aerator consists of a cone and blades attached to its outer surface, as shown in Figure 11-15
.
The end of the blade extends a small section horizontally at the bottom edge of the cone, so that the water curtain thrown out when the impeller rotates is in contact with the water surface in the pool, thereby expanding the oxygenation and mixing effect of the impeller
The K-type impeller aerator is composed of a rear disc, blades, cover plate and flange.
The rear disc is streamlined and intersects with a number of double curvature blades to form a liquid flow channel.
The channel rotates 90° from the beginning to the end

The flat impeller aerator consists of flat plates, blades and flanges, as shown in Figure 11-17
.
The angle between the blade and the plate radius is between 0° and 25°, and the best angle is 12°
The oxygenation capacity of the impeller is related to the diameter of the impeller, the rotation speed of the impeller, the pool type and the depth of water immersion
.
If the impeller is fixed, the linear speed of the impeller is high, and the oxygenation capacity is also strong.
However, when the linear speed is too high, the power consumption will be large, and the sludge will be easily broken

2 Horizontal axis mechanical aerator
The horizontal axis mechanical aerator is mainly composed of a rotating brush aerator and a driving device
.
The aeration brush is a horizontal shaft with stainless steel wire or slats, as shown in Figure 11-18
