Meiji Co., Ltd. announced the results of two studies at its "Milk Protein Symposium". In a joint study with Professor Fujita of the University of Lisan, the company found that the company's self-developed "acid milk protein drink" had the effect of increasing the concentration of lilacine in the blood. Lilacine is known to promote muscle synthesis. Another study showed that "acidic milk protein drinks" have excellent moisture recharge effects. In the first study, young men (average age
    23
years old) were tested for changes in the concentration of lilacine in the blood by conducting a comparative trial of acidic milk protein drinks and skimmed milk powder solutions. The results showed that the increase in the concentration of lilacine in the blood was confirmed compared with that of the drinking group of skimmed milk powder solution. Resine is an amino acid, and several studies to date have shown that increasing the concentration of lilacine in the blood can promote muscle synthesis. From the current results, acidic milk protein drinks have the potential to further promote muscle synthesis, is conducive to fitness molding beverage products.in the second study, the researchers gave mice acidic milk protein drinks, milk, sports drinks, and distilled water to measure the rate of change in plasma volume to assess the rate at which the body absorbed water. The excretion of urine from four groups of mice was tested to evaluate the effect of maintaining moisture (water preservation effect) in the body. In this case, the small amount of excreted urine can be interpreted as having a moisturizing effect. The results of this study found that the acidic milk protein drink absorbs water at a rate equal to or greater than that of sports drinks. In addition, from the amount of excretion of urine, acidic milk protein drink water preservation effect is equivalent to milk, higher than sports drinks.from the above results, acidic milk protein drinks have the role of accelerating water absorption and prolonging the body's water hold time, is expected to play an effective role in water supplementation.
