Miley Kai Gao: New species of fish have been found in Myanmar.

Located in the northernmost part of Myanmar, Puta-O is one of the world's most biodiverse hotspots and has a high level of species richness.
the Southeast Asian Wildlife Diversity Research Group of the Kunming Institute of Zoology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, as part of the core team of the Southeast Asian Biodiversity Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences, CAS-SEABRI, led by researcher Chen Xiaoyong, has completed several aquatic biodiversity surveys in Myanmar since 2014.
the team studied large and medium-sized fish specimens from the upper reaches of the Mali Kha River and the grape market between 2014 and 2017, and a systematic morphological comparison confirmed that the specimens were a new undiscovered species named Altigena Malihkaia.
results in the international journal Zootaxa (4476 (1:087-093) by Altigena Malihkaia, a new species of Labeonini (Teleostei: Cyprinidae) from the Irrawaddy River basin in Myanmar.
Meili Kai gaoyu belongs to the carp-shaped, carp, sorgas, up to now recorded a total of 9 species, is distributed in the main stream of the Meili Kairiver benthic large and medium-sized fish.
the publication of the species will add a new member of the gaoying family and further confirm the richness and uniqueness of species diversity in the grape region.
