Mitsubishi Electric delivers the first 765kV power transformer in North America

Japan's Mitsubishi Electric announced today that its first large-capacity 765kV power transformer was successfully delivered to the US power company AEP
on April 29 by MEPPI, a North American subsidiary, Mitsubishi Electric Power Products.

This shell 765kV transformer is manufactured
at the company's facility in Memphis, Tennessee.
This is the first 765kV large-capacity power transformer produced by MEPPI and the first large-capacity power transformer
of the same type produced locally in the United States in 25 years.

Mitsubishi Electric said MEPPI is the only company in the United States that can produce 765kV power transformers

The shell transformer provided to the American power company AEP is a shell transformer with a compact design, low energy loss and high
seismic resistance.

Since April 2013, MEPPI has officially established the power transformer division, mainly producing shell 500kV and 345KV single-phase power transformers
