    Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a central nervous system disease characterized by inflammation, demyelination, and neurodegeneration of white matter (WM) and gray matter (GM).

    They collected the autopsy 3T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and cerebral cortex tissues of 16 PMS body donors and 10 controls.


    Compared with the control group, the demyelinated cortex and the normal appearance (NA) cortex of the PMS group had significant axon loss.
