In accordance with this technical route, the researchers realized material collection, overcome the technical bottleneck, successfully created a variety of genome editing heterogeneous four-fold wild rice materials with reduced granulation, shorter mango length, lower plant height, longer grain length, thickened stems, and shortened spike time to varying degrees, proving that the heterogenous four-fold wild rice rapidly domestication strategy is highly feasible, and is of great significance for the future creation and cultivation of new crop species.
