National Bureau of Disease Control and Prevention unveiled Wang Hesheng as director

According to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security on April 28, the State Council appointed and dismissed national staff: Wang Hesheng was appointed as the director of the National Bureau of Disease Control and Prevention, and Chang Jile, Shen Hongbing, and Sun Yang were appointed as the deputy directors of the National Bureau of Disease Control and Prevention.

Wang Hesheng was born in June 1961 in Qingyuan, Hebei.

He worked in Tianjin in his early years and successively served as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Tianjin Medical University, Deputy Director of Tianjin Education Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, etc.

In August 2016, Wang Hesheng raised the National Health and Family Planning Commission as deputy director and member of the party group, and two months later he also served as director of the State Council’s Medical Reform Office.

In February 2020, during the critical period of Hubei's prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, Wang Hesheng "was ordered in danger" and led the work of the Hubei Provincial Party Committee as a member of the Hubei Provincial Party Committee.

On February 8, according to the WeChat public account "Hubei Daily" news, recently, the CPC Central Committee approved that Comrade Wang Hesheng was appointed as a member and standing member of the Hubei Provincial Party Committee.

In July 2020, Wang Hesheng, deputy director of the National Health Commission and member of the Standing Committee of the Hubei Provincial Party Committee, no longer concurrently serves as the director of the Hubei Provincial Health Commission, but still serves as the party secretary of the Provincial Health Commission.

Among the three deputy directors of the National Bureau of Disease Control and Prevention, Chang Jile previously served as the director of the Bureau of Disease Control and Prevention of the National Health Commission.
