On July 5, 2021, the team of Professor Yi Chengqi from the School of Life Sciences of Peking University, Peking University-Tsinghua Life Sciences Joint Center and the team of Professor Yiqin Gao from the School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering of Peking University jointly published the title " DNA repair glycosylase hNEIL1 triages damagedbases " in Nature Communications.
hNEIL1 is a key DNA glycosylase in the base excision repair pathway.
The substrate recognition model of hNEIL1
In general, this study comprehensively uses multiple methods such as structural biology, biochemistry, and computational chemistry to systematically interpret a new damage repair mechanism in DNA glycosylase
