In the face of environmental pressure, cells need to make the correct stress response [1]
In the budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, many transcription factors related to stress response have pulse dynamic behavior [4], of which the most representative ones are Msn2 and Msn4
Recently, Lin Yihan's group from the Center for Quantitative Biology, Peking University's Frontier Interdisciplinary Research Institute and Deng Minghua's group from Peking University's School of Mathematical Sciences jointly published an article entitled "Yeast cell fate control by temporal redundancy modulation of transcription factor paralogs" in Nature Communications
Researcher Lin Yihan from the Joint Center for Life Sciences and the Quantitative Biology Center of Peking University Frontier Interdisciplinary Research Institute is the corresponding author of this paper, and Wu Yan, a doctoral student from the Frontier Interdisciplinary Research Institute, is the first author.
