    However, finely distinguishing blood and contrast agent exudation may improve the evaluation of the prognostic significance of SA-HD after MT in patients with acute stroke



    SA-HD after treatment was defined as the off-axis high density in follow-up DE-CT performed within 8 hours after MT


    • Of the 424 patients, 120 (28%) developed SA-HD, including 22 cases of pure contrast agent exudation and 98 cases of blood exudation


      In this cohort of patients, imaging was performed within a median of 8 hours after MT, and SA-HD after intervention showed a diffuse pattern in 17% of thrombectomy procedures and was associated with more cumbersome procedures
