    The human posterior thalamus is important for transmitting auditory and visual signals to the rest of the brain


    "The BigBrain dataset helps us understand the structure of the complex subcortical nuclei," Andrea Brandstetter from the Institute of Neuroscience and Medicine (Forschungszentrum Jülich) in a video from the HBP collaborative project HIBALL explained
