December 22, reporters from the Jinping Watershed National Nature Reserve Management Bureau in Yunnan Province was informed that the bureau's senior engineer, director of scientific research Institute Yu Zhiyong and Zhongshan University School of Life Sciences, Dr. Liu Ying and other scholars, in the international academic journal "Phytokeys" published an article that they found a new species of wild peony in the Jinping Watershed National Nature Reserve, adding a new member of the world's biological species.
scientists described the species' morphology, growth environment, etc. in detail, and systematically analyzed it based on its ITS sequence. The species has four flowers and eight type 2 males, with the base of the drug bulging but without distance. The above morphological characteristics and systematic development analysis results show that this plant is a member of the wild peony family of exotic flowers. Morphological observation and comparison show that the leaves of the plant were born at the base of the plant, the stems were short but obvious between sections, the leaf handle was long soft hair, no wings, with umbrella-shaped flower sequence, different from the characteristic combination of all known species of hetero-drug flowers, so it is considered that it represents an unspoiled species, so named Jinping hetero-flower.
the name jinping heterogeneity flower, derived from this plant model of the origin of Jinping County. Jinping is only recorded in Jinping County, southeast of Fujian Province, usually grown at an altitude of 900 meters to 1900 meters under the forest or forest edge, like shady, humid, well-drained habitat. Yu Zhiyong estimates that more than 1,000 plants have been found in the area.
