French cable manufacturer Nexans recently said it has won a contract
to provide export cable systems for the 704 MW Revolution wind farm project offshore Rhode Island.

The project, which will power the states of Connecticut and Rhode Island, is being jointly developed
by Denmark's Ørsted and New England utility Eversource Energy.
It is located about 15 miles south of the Rhode Island coast and 32 miles
    east of the Connecticut coast.

    This is Nexans' second contract
    with Ørsted and Eversource.
    This is part of
a framework agreement signed by Nexans in December 2019 to supply Ørsted and Eversource in the United States.

According to the announcement, local construction will begin in 2023, and the project is scheduled to be fully operational
    in 2025.

The company also said Revolution will be Nexans' third project
to be delivered at its Charleston, South Carolina facility.
