1 Physical and chemical properties and uses

Nitrofurans (NFs) drugs are synthetic broad-spectrum antibacterial drugs with 5-nitrofuran structure.
Common NFs mainly include furazolidone (FZD), nitrofurazone (NFZ), and nitrofurantoin (nitrofurantoin, NFT), furaltadone (furaltadone, FTD) and ranitidine Liu hydrazine (nifursol, the NFS)
    .

NFs has a killing effect on most Gram-positive bacteria and Gram-negative bacteria.

    1 Physical and chemical properties

NFs structural similarity, the nitro group is introduced at position 5 of the furan nucleus, usually in two by a methylene group connected to different groups, including alkyl, acyl, hydroxyalkyl group, carboxyl group
    .

NFs is yellow powder or crystalline powder, odorless, tasteless or slightly bitter in taste

    2 Purpose

NFs can act on the oxidoreductase system of microorganisms, inhibit acetyl-CoA, interfere with the metabolism of microbial carbohydrates, and play a bacteriostatic effect
    .

It has a broad-spectrum antibacterial effect and can kill most gram-positive bacteria, gram-negative bacteria, certain fungi and protozoa

NFs are widely used in the prevention and treatment of animal infectious diseases such as poultry, livestock, aquatic products, and bees due to their antibacterial and bactericidal properties.
Some species have the effect of promoting growth and have been used as feed additives
    .

After oral administration of this kind of drugs, the absorption is less, the absorbed part is quickly destroyed in the body, the blood concentration is low, and it is not easy to reach the effective concentration, and it is not suitable for the treatment of systemic infections
