Recently, India's state-run power giant NTPC has issued a tender
for 70 MW of grid-connected floating solar at the Rajiv Gandhi Combined Cycle Power Plant (RGCCPP) in the southern state of Kerala.

It is understood that the project bidding includes the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packaging and transportation, transportation, unloading, storage, installation and commissioning
    of the project.
    Operations and maintenance services
will be required within three years of commissioning.
The deadline for submission of bids for the project was 15 November
    .

    RGCCPP has become home
to a 100kW floating solar power plant, which was inaugurated in March 2017.
At the time, NTPC said in a press release that it had the potential to install 800MW of floating solar
in various reservoirs at existing stations.
It particularly highlights Kerala because the state is ready for water bodies and lack of land
    .
In June, NTPC also invited a 22MW grid-connected floating solar project
    at RGCCPP.

Last week, NTPC also issued a tender
for a 60MW wind and 130MW solar hybrid energy project at NTPC-Kudgi, a super thermal power station in Karnataka.

Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has also further delayed its own 150MW floating solar tender
at the Rihand Dam in Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh.
The deadline for bids is 25 October 2018
