On 24 December, there were 14 new confirmed cases and 7 local cases

From 00:24 on December 24th, 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 14 new confirmed cases, of which 7 cases were imported from abroad (Shanghai 4 cases, Liaoning 1 case, Guangdong 1 case, Sichuan 1 case), 7 local cases (all in Liaoning);
9 new cases were cured and discharged from hospital on the same day, 879 close contacts were released from medical observation, and the number of severe cases was the same as the previous day.
272 existing confirmed cases (of which 5 were severe cases) imported from outside China, with no existing suspected cases. A total of 4181 confirmed cases, a total of 3909 cases of cured discharge, no deaths.
As of 24 hours on December 24, 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported that there were 320 confirmed cases (of which 6 were serious cases), a total of 81959 cases were cured and discharged from hospital, 4634 cumulative deaths were reported, and 86913 confirmed cases were reported, with no existing suspected cases. A total of 897,690 close contacts were traced and 9890 close contacts were still under medical observation.
31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 17 new cases of asymptomatic infection (15 cases imported from abroad);
received a total of 9246 confirmed cases from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Of these,
8424 cases (7203 discharges, 135 deaths), 46 cases (46 discharges) and 776 cases (635 discharges and 7 deaths) were discharged from the
Regions.
