12 new cases were cured and discharged from hospital on the same day, 960 close contacts were removed from medical observation, and 1 case of severe illness was reduced from the previous day.
279 confirmed cases (of which 3 are serious cases) and 1 suspected case has been imported from outside China. A total of 4303 confirmed cases, a total of 4024 cases of cured discharge, no deaths.
As of 2400 hours on January 2, 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported that there were 395 confirmed cases (of which 9 were serious cases), a total of 82,088 cases were cured and discharged from hospital, 4,634 cumulative deaths were reported, 87,117 confirmed cases were reported, and 1 suspected case existing. A total of 907,460 close contacts were traced and 14,175 close contacts were still under medical observation.
