    From SeafoodMedia on July 22, as of July 21, 29,600 tons of Pacific salmon had been caught in the Russian Far East , an increase of 4,700 tons or 19% year-on-year

    Last week, the production of pink salmon ranked first, with a catch of 20,200 tons, which is 20% higher than the same period in 2019

    The northeastern part of the Kamchatka Peninsula is the main pink salmon fishing area, with an average daily catch of 3,500 tons

    The catch of sockeye salmon is 7,400 tons, the catch of salmon is 1,800 tons, and the small species of Pacific salmon (coho salmon, chinook salmon, and Sima salmon) caught a total of 316 tons

    The Kamchatka region is still the main fishing ground for salmon in the Russian Far East

    In the Kamchatka Peninsula, 26,200 tons of Pacific salmon were caught (88% of the total catch in the Far East)

    In the regions of Sakhalin and Magadan, the catches reached 2,100 tons and 1,100 tons respectively (accounting for 7% and 4% of the total catch in the Far East)

    In other parts of the Far East, about 800 tons were captured
