Pakistan intends to launch 5G services by the end of 2021

Pakistan's Federal Information Technology Minister Aminul Haq said a few days ago that the government is working to introduce 5G technology and has made plans to ensure the provision of 5G services
by December 2021.

Minister Aminul Haq said in an interview that Pakistan will work with local companies owned by China Mobile to launch a 5G trial network
at a hospital in Islamabad.

At present, the Pakistani government is seeking consulting firms to prepare for the terms of the 5G spectrum auction, but has not yet worked out a detailed timeline
for the license.

Meanwhile, Pakistan is upgrading the fiber optic backbone connections in Islamabad, Karachi and Gwadar to provide a good infrastructure
for the subsequent popularization of 5G technology.
