According to Dow Jones on May 11, consulting firm Wood Mackenzie said that if the new leader's campaign promise to abolish the Goods and Services Tax (GST) policy becomes a reality, then Petronas, Malaysia's national oil company, may be under pressure
from the country's new government.
Among other things, the reduction in revenue will increase the government's reliance on Petronas' dividend payouts and could hurt the company's autonomy and future spending plans
