According to a report by the Philippine Business Mirror on November 24, the Philippine Egg Industry Association ( PE BA) stated that due to rising costs, layer breeders have been forced to scale down, and there may be a shortage of eggs in the next few months

Recently, the Philippine feed price has increased from 1,000 pesos to 1,450 pesos per 50 kg bag, while the price of eggs has only remained stable or increased slightly

The Director of the Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) Morales said that the government is aware of the production difficulties faced by layer breeders and is ready to provide support.
It is currently negotiating with US soybean and soybean meal suppliers
