In recent years, there has been another outbreak of yellow fever in Africa and Latin America.
At present, in response to various large-scale vaccination campaigns ( PMVC ) for yellow fever vaccination , few studies have quantified the impact of PMVC on the risk of yellow fever outbreaks.
In this study, the researchers assessed the association between yellow fever outbreaks in endemic areas in Africa and the implementation of PMVCs through self-controlled case series ( SCCS ) methods .
In this study, the researchers used the Self Controlled Case Series (SCCS ) method to evaluate yellow fever outbreaks in endemic areas in Africa, yellow fever outbreaks in endemic areas in Africa , and yellow fever in endemic areas in Africa.
Researchers assessed the association between provincial PMVC and yellow fever outbreak risk in 34 African countries between 2005 and 2018 .
Based on the results of SCCS , the researchers estimated that after PMVCs , the number of outbreaks in Africa from 2005 to 2018 decreased by 34% ( 95% CI 22% to 45% ).
Based SCCS result, researchers estimate PMVCs after 2005 Nian Zhi 2018 for African outbreak reduce the number of 34% PMVCs after 2005 Nian Zhi 2018 for African outbreak reduce the number of 34% PMVCs after 2005 Nian Zhi 2018 for African number of outbreaks A reduction of 34% ( 95% CI 22% to 45% ).
In summary, these results results results PMVCs yellow fever outbreak has high preventive effect, and SCCS research method can be advantageously applied to different levels of the population, in order to assess the impact of public health interventions.
