Portugal's olive production in 21/22 is expected to decline (40% less compared to the previous year)
due to scarce rainfall and high temperatures, released by the National Statistics Institute of Portugal on 18 November.
In terms of fruit trees, the situation is similar, with pears down 45%, chestnuts 30%, apples 20%, almonds 15% and kiwifruit 5%.

Portugal's agricultural harvest in 2022 is also expected to fall by 15%
    year-on-year.
Spring crops have also been affected by severe drought throughout the growing cycle, with yields reduced by 10 per cent for maize and 15 per cent
for rice and tomato for processing.
However, such vintages are expected to produce high-quality wines
