PPG announced on April 3 that PPG has completed a $3 million expansion of its Oak Creek plant in Wisconsin to meet the growing demand for
coatings
the food can sin industry.
PPG's next-generation canned food coatings are designed to help winemakers and other brand owners with growing food exposure regulations. According to North American and European regulations, coatings are certified by an independent body and are put on the market after meeting food contact requirements. As rules and market demands change, the Oak Creek plant will now have greater flexibility to produce coating packaging products for different requirements.
