[Preparation method] The preparation of modified urea-formaldehyde resin quaternary ammonium salt can be divided into three steps: ①synthesis of urea-formaldehyde resin; ②modification of urea-formaldehyde resin; ③preparation of modified urea-formaldehyde resin quaternary ammonium salt through quaternization reaction
(1) Synthesis of urea-formaldehyde resin
Add urea and formaldehyde into a three-necked flask, adjust the pH value to 7.
(2) Modification of urea-formaldehyde resin
Use a separatory funnel to slowly add epichlorohydrin to the resin.
(3) Quaternization (cationization)
A certain amount of triethylamine is added to the modified resin and reacted at 80-110°C for 4 to 5 hours to obtain a cationic modified urea-formaldehyde resin quaternary ammonium salt flocculant
