Hydrogen peroxide method
This method is essentially an innovation of the ketazine method
This method firstly reacts methyl ethyl ketone ( methyl ethyl ketone ) with ammonia to generate ketimine , and uses hydrogen peroxide instead of chlorine and hypochlorite as oxidants to oxidize ammonia to generate methyl ketone
The resulting methyl ethyl ketone-ketazine is then hydrolyzed into hydrazine hydrate and methyl ethyl ketone
The economic comparison between the hydrogen peroxide method and the Raschig method and the ketazine method mainly depends on the relative prices of chlorine and NaOH
