    2-hydroxy-3-naphthoyl-l-naphthylamide (2-hydroxy-3-naphthoyl-l-naphthylamide) is also known as naphthol AS-BO (naphthol AS-BO), 3-hydroxy-N-(1- Naphthyl)-2-naphthylcarboxamide, N-(3-hydroxy-2-naphthoyl)-a-naphthylamine, Naftor AS-BO, molecular formula is C 21 H 15 NO 2 , molecular weight is 313.

    Production principle

    First, 2,3-acid and alkali form sodium salt
    .


    After dehydration, it is condensed with 1-naphthylamine in the presence of phosphorus trichloride , and the product is obtained through post-treatments such as neutralization, desolvation, filtration, and drying

    Production process

    Add 4000~5000L chlorobenzene , 606kg 98% 2,3-acid and 500L 30% liquid caustic soda into the salt-forming dehydration kettle , heat and dehydrate, and gradually increase the temperature to 134~135℃, and stop when the steamed chlorobenzene is transparent and anhydrous Heating
    .


    Add chlorobenzene to control the volume of the feed liquid at 2800~3000L


    Move the above dehydrated material into the condensation kettle, cool to about 90°C, and add 456kg 1-naphthylamine
    .


    Continue to cool to about 67°C, and evenly add phosphorus trichloride and chlorobenzene mixture within 2h (the amount of phosphorus trichloride is 225kg, and about 150kg of anhydrous benzene is used to make a mixture at 55-60°C)


    Add 2000L of water and 300L of 30% liquid caustic soda in the distillation kettle, and then press in the above-mentioned condensed materials
    .


    After pressing, continue to stir for 15 minutes, add alkali to adjust the pH to the range of 8.

    It is mainly used as a primer for dyeing and printing of cotton fabrics, and for the production of fast pigments and organic pigments

    (1) Toxic materials such as 1-naphthylamine , phosphorus trichloride, chlorobenzene, and 2,3-acid are used in production, the equipment should be sealed to prevent leakage.
    The operators should wear labor protection equipment and strengthen ventilation in the workshop

    (2) This product is toxic.
    It is packaged in a plastic bag lined with an iron bucket for external use.
    It should be stored in a cool, ventilated, and dry warehouse, away from fire, heat, and sun, and avoid heat and moisture
    .
